Peterborough is a modern cathedral city, located in the east of England, with good road and rail network to all parts of the country, being less than an hour's train journey from the centre of London, and benefiting from a direct train service to Stansted Airport, as well as several other major UK cities.
Peterborough has a beautiful XII century cathedral, whose painted ceiling is considered to be one of the finest in Europe, and which contains the tomb of Catherine of Aragon, the first wife of Henry VIII.
The city has a large shopping area with modern shopping centres and well equipped installations for all sorts of land and water sports, which the students are able to use.
The Summer School course is run from the
Peterborough Regional College, which attracts around 15,000 students a year, from the UK and abroad, and is currently ranked in the top 5% of colleges in the UK.
